How to talk to a climate change denier 04/25/2017 I recently has a run-in with a climate change denier at one of my public lectures (not my first and I am sure it won't be my last). Although I am a scientist, and I study certain aspects of climate change, I was struggling with how to engage this individual with relatable facts. I talked about this incident with an editor for uproxx.com and he encouraged me to write an article on How to talk to a climate change denier for Earth Week. So, I did! Adopt-a-scientist program 04/25/2017 This semester, I worked with a 5th grade class at Anneliese School in Laguna Beach, California on a student-scientist pen pal program. I paired 23 students with 23 different scientists and engineers from all over the country. The program allowed students the unique opportunity to communicate with a scientist, ask questions, and create a long-term relationship. It was a huge success! Both the students and scientists had a great time talking to each other and I can't wait to run the program again
